		<abstract>This work consist of observing evolution of land use in Várzea da Palma municipality between the years 2005 and 2016, using georeferencing techniques, via satellite images reading processed by Software Arcgis 10.3.1, considering five controlling points in different areas of the municipality. After some analysis, it was possible to identify a slight recovery in the native cerrado vegetation, but on the other hand, it was also possible to note the decline of ciliary forests and the growth of eucalyptus reforestation and increase in areas for agriculture and livestock. This work serves as an instrument for environmental risk assessment of these areas, prioritizing responsible use of the natural resources to avoid environmental degradation.</abstract>
